There was an error with your code: ReferenceError: Can't find variable: displayModal

Im suck on this challenge-

$modal.append($placeHolder);

//Create a button to dismiss modal and add it to modal

Hi Erica,

The dismiss button has been created but has not been added to the modal, you have this:

//Create a button to dismiss modal and add it to modal
var $dismissButton = $("<button>Dismiss</button>");

rather than this: 

//Create a button to dismiss modal and add it to modal
var $dismissButton = $("<button>Dismiss</button>");
$modal.append($dismissButton);
