Offhand, I would think the little quizzes are a totally harmless way to reinforce learning, but you seem to have a rather strong and different opinion. Could you explain just what about the quiz gives you that impression? Is it just this single particular one, or the quizzes in general?

I am sorry you feel there is harm. Could you elaborate more on what you're feeling?

The purpose of the quiz is to reinforce the concepts of using the Python REPL shell: It's basic usefulness, how to find help, and how to leave the REPL and return to the OS shell.

The appropriate place for this discussion is in an email to support, and not the community forums. The community is largely watched over by students and student moderators (like me and Chris Freeman), none of whom have any control over any issues with Treehouse as a platform. It's best to email support for that so that actual staff can note and address your issue

you guy that posted do not need any training to learn Python, yes? or you don't need any quiz as a learning tool If i just watch the videos i'm doing great :)... proof be in the test

learning be fun... learning be hell... do you have a fave? clearly, the quiz be made without fun in the mix or even helping w/ learnings, feels like i sat on a cold cup of coffee in paper cup, [in certain places it be MUD, quickSand, toxic waste].... imagine a greased slide for a Quiz; Fail FAST and confirm learnings... if i get a failing grade thats great! if i can leverage a fail to a path to competence, Fail: GREAT... fail fast, FAIL often; if i can learn good or GREAT. "as of now, it^s a kind of HELL stuck in a Quiz" 'team tree house' does not cherish her student, NO way... tons of nano but super important elements to learn... the boss pretends to cherish the student, HA... if there were a early version of this training available; i'd be happy to try it... {PLEASE}! Yes, a pulse on learning be critical and the design/ training using this Quiz be lame at best... My missed Questions's allow me to know my exact weakness and remedy in one beat, but in concept only... yes, i know any leanings can have tons on confusion...
PERHAPS this style of training be designed to 'wash-out / flush' certain elements... i think not

how 'bout a baby learning several languages into competence before 1 or two years, you think everything be FUN or hellish for your baby

I'm still not understanding, could you perhaps describe what you would change to make it better? Are you saying there should not be any quizzes at all, or should the quizzes be different? And if different, can you give an example of what you would consider a "good" one?
