So why take the course if you do not feel you need to learn it?

Some people enjoy those courses. Do another course if you feel it is 'stupid'.

A lot of people do not know how to create a document in Illustrator or Photoshop. It is not as simple as opening a word document. There are many different options for all different types of needs. And to someone who is new to the software it can be confusing.

Remember these courses are being used by people with al different types of exposure and skill levels. In many of the courses you will find things that you already know or that you feel are irrelevant. But that does not mean the information is not valuable to someone else.
