This quiz is asking about promises, I don't recall the course covering it. Can someone point me in the right direction?

If you took the AJAX course, you've got part of the answer. I don't recall where in that course promises were explicitly covered, but you can look into $q for Angular which deals with promises and their resolves. (https://docs.angularjs.org/api/ng/service/$q)
