toggleRefreshAnimation on main thread?

Xcode complains that the toggleRefreshAnimation should be on the main thread. Also my activity indicator was spinning indefinitely as it was running on a background thread. I just wrapped my code in the method like so:

func toggleRefreshAnimation(on: Bool) {
        DispatchQueue.main.async {
            self.refreshButton.isHidden = on
            if on {
                self.activityIndicator.startAnimating()
            } else {
                self.activityIndicator.stopAnimating()
            }
        }
    }
