Total number of fish

In order to find the total number of fish that passed through the dam in 2001 I entered=SUM(A65:M65). My answer was incorrect. What did I do wrong?

The fish begin in column C, column A is the dam and column B is the year.

The dam doesn't affect the sum, but including the year makes the total too high by 2001.
