Trouble getting Workspaces to connect to server

I am trying to follow along with the Node.js basic tutorial where you ceate the webapp the accesses the http://teamtreehouse.com user page to get the badges students have earned. However, my workspace is timing out because it is not connecting to the server. Do you know what might be the problem or how I can fix it.

I wrote treehouse support team two days ago and still waiting to hear from them. Maybe I should email them.
