iOS Build a Diary App Using Core Data Custom UITableViewCell UIAppearance to Customize the Navigation Bar

UINavigationBar appearance not compiling. UINavigationBar* appearance = [UINavigationBar appearance];

The quiz is asking me to create a local variable to hold the appearance proxy for a UINavigationBar.

UINavigationBar* appearance = [UINavigationBar appearance];

Looks OK to me. Am I not understanding the question, it would seem so.

Hi Barry,

The challenge is specific and expects the asterisk to be in a specific position, in this case right before appearance.

UINavigationBar *appearance = [UINavigationBar appearance];

Yes, you are correct. It looks like the Treehouse "compiler" is a little lame in the whitespace department. I be on the lookout in the future. Thanks.
