Python Python Basics (2015) Logic in Python Try and Except

Unable to complete task 3 of Try and Except quiz instead of doing right code

I have written code for this task. It is working fine in my machine but it is giving error on submitting it in quiz console.

trial.py
 def add(a ,  b):
    try:
        a = float(a)
        b = float(b)
    except ValueError:
        return
    else:
        return(a + b)

Hey PRASANT! Your so close, but in the ValueError return statement, you should actually return the python keyword 'None', not just something empty.

While your code is totally valid, you could actually get rid of that else statement entirely, and just return a+b imidiately after youve 'tried' to convert them into floats.

I can see how this could be misunderstood. Hope this helps tho!
