Unexpected token

I tried figuring out what I have done wrong in this code but cannot seem to figure it out...

app.js
const https = require("https");

function getProfile (username) {
  try {
const request = https.get("https://teamtreehouse.com/chalkers.json", response => {
  console.log(response.statusCode);
});
response.on('error', error => console.error(`Problem with request: ${error.message}`))
}catch(error){
console.error(error.message);
 }
}

There's a few issues here:

  • the instructions don't ask for a try or catch
  • the response parameter is not accessible outside of the get call, did you mean request?
  • there seems to be a problem with the challenge not accepting a template literal
  • you don't need one anyway, the challenge only asks you to output the error message itself
