UPDATE: For current installs of MAMP on Mac

This is purely an FYI since the video is in need of an update. Installing the current version of MAMP, you may discover that phpMyAdmin may be greyed out within your localhost. This may be due to the version of PHP you currently have installed or the versions that were installed along with MAMP.

To remedy this within MAMP, Select Preferences, Go into the PHP section, here you will see two standard versions of PHP: 7.0.15 and 7.1.1. Select 7.0.15. You may have to enter in your password and the servers will restart. Then you should be able to continue to follow along with the video. Some minor aspects of phpMyAdmin have also changed, but you can still follow along.

Happy coding all!

Thanks for this post! I get really frustrated with these outdated Treehouse tutorials. This video is from 2014 :(

Seriously thinking of switching to a different tutorial site with fresh content.
