updating/reinstalling a WordPress site

I have a site that says I need to update:

reinstall now or Download 4.1.1 should I repeat the whole manual process?

Hi Tarry,

Normally it'll say something along the lines of:

If you need to re-install version 4.1.1–xx_XX, you can do so here or download the package and re-install manually

Does it say You have the latest version of WordPress. above it though?

If so, it's just letting you know that if you need to re-install it at any point you can using any of those options.

If your WordPress site is running as it should be, I would just run the update. Make sure you make a backup of your site before you run the update. There are a lot of free plugins in the WordPress plugin repository that can assist you with backups.
