Python Python Collections (2016, retired 2019) Lists Shopping List Take Three

.upper not working for me

Hi! Working on my shopping list app, and the .upper method is not behaving for me. I can remove the .upper and the if then statements will work, but if the .upper is there the if then's do not work.

Remember that all methods are called using parentheses. In at least one place in the code you linked you've written:

new_item.upper

When what you need is:

new_item.upper()
