For others who might be using Django 2.0, your urls.py file should look like:

from django.contrib import admin
from django.urls import path

from . import views

urlpatterns = [
    path('admin/', admin.site.urls),
    path('', views.hello_world),

The course material is in being update to Django 2.0. For information on using the new path() function instead of the older url() see the docs
