198 PointsUser Feedback: Part 2 & 3
Hey Guys,
These videos are becoming increasingly hard to follow given the noticeable lift in terminology. Are you guys testing the videos to ensure jargon increases are gradual and not overwhelming? I'm having to replay videos several (up to 5) times, as well as ask developer friends to translate the instructors content into simpler terms. When compared to other teachers on Treehouse, the instructors lecturing style isn't content retention friendly
Just a thought -Chad

Courses Plus Student 53,747 PointsHi, Chad Smith:
In order for your feedback be used more easily towards action and change, what classes in particular you've felt this way about the use of jargon throughout that course's videos.
The forums somewhat exist to in fact help with these sort of problems, since it can be hard to access--even with paths--the pace of 'complexity' (or jargon) that gets increased with each stage of course.
Being either a current or past student of a variety of learning platforms, Treehouse is aimed at absolute beginners to intermediate programmers rather well. As a result, I feel it's important as a student to hear you out and get you up to speed towards making the most out of your Treehouse experience.
With that said, I hope to receive your reply. Note I'm not a core Treehouse staff member, but communicate with many of them often enough to the extent I know how to reach several important members of the staff towards improving your Treehouse experience.
I'll be awaiting your reply.

39,199 PointsBased on your profile I'm assuming this is one of the first videos you've watched on Treehouse. As Andrew Chalkley mentioned in the in the first video, you might get more out of it if you take an introductory JavaScript course either on Treehouse or else where.
