Using a menu and walker class which works fine on pages but doesn't appear on a 'category page'

As discussed in this video, I've added a menu using the walker class - this works fine on pages but doesn't work for page that is constructed from a category rather than a fixed page - the menu doesn't appear.

Solved this - it was a rogue plugin I had installed.
