Using my first IDE (IntelliJ) to tinker

Good Morning, All!

New to Treehouse and to Java programming. Just downloaded IntelliJ in order to start tinkering with Treehouse lessons and concepts. Does anyone have any tips/tricks/resources to start projects on a new IDE? Currently youtubing and using tutorials on their homepage. My past experience extends to some work with Sublime 3 and playing around in Chrome.
