I understand your concern, but remember Hampton (the guy teaching the video) is the inventor of Sass. I don't think you will find a better person to teach you then him, although his teaching style is different. Everyone has their own way to lean as to teach. Find what way works for you and stick with it!

You can always skip the jokes by fast forwarding until his screen comes up to teach you something. Also, using this video along with Guil's CSS to Sass course will give you everything you need in order to learn Sass besides using the Sass documentation itself. I understand that you're taking your education seriously and applaud you, but what Hampton has to say in between his jokes are EXTREMELY useful. I now understand Sass and enjoy using it very much due to his and Guil's courses.

Yes I keep going back and forth, just doesn't work for me. Maybe I'll go back to it later when I'll have more time on my hands. I'm working full time so it's hard enough to find time to learn at all.. Sass seems like a really great thing and I'm sure I'm going to use it..

If you want another resource check out this very good, and in depth article on using Sass maps, and responsive typography. It shows what you can really do with sass, and its great automation abilities.

@Dan Whiting yes that's exactly what I was planning to do. I understand the idea, I just thought this tutorial will make it faster than reading documentation, unfortunately not. So I'll put it on ice for now, plenty of other things to learn :)

Hmmm guess I missed something, are other teachers "heavy"?! I'm glad you like it but I'm here to learn, I've got my friends to hang out with, when I come here and pay money for limited amount od time I want to use it to the fullest without unneccesary distractions...

I am agree with you. TBH, this is one of my favorites course in treehouse. This course is fun to watch, have a good content, and presented by the one who invent the tech. :D

Au contraire, I'm delighted with this course. First, the already mentioned fact that we have the course from the man who invented Sass. Secondly, everything is nicely explained and the quizzes and code challenges are appropriate. Loved this, love Sass.... Perhaps the course might have been more introductory in the parts concerning loops etc., it takes some time for a beginner to grasp this out, but it suited me, I knew that stuff already.

I know this is four months later, but here is something to think about. There is a rate this video button with each video. Maybe time management is an issue for you. I don't know, and that's fine, what ever works for you.

However, you took the time to post in questions, which really isn't the best place for you comment. You should have posted to the rate this video and moved on. Instead you posted to the questions and then kept coming back to respond to post. You could have saved yourself time, if you had rated the video and moved on.

I know I shouldn't be bitching about this, but it's a common occurrence, people using the question section just to complain instead of using the rate this video button.
