virtualenv wont install

virtualenv wont install. i followed every step of this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5pYC_ZkLdI but nothing happens when i type the command "pip install virtualenv"

try: sudo pip install virtualenv because: you need to have superuser permission to install virtualenv
