57,712 PointsHi there,
Swift is useful for writing mobile apps for Apple mobile devices. Have a look at the Android courses for writing apps on Android devices. I wouldn't exclude one or the other as they both have significant market share.
There's a strong argument to say that a well written, responsive (i.e. mobile-friendly) web application is as good as a mobile app. If the page works well on a mobile devices, this negates some of the requirement for a stand-alone mobile application. It's certainly a very good starting point.
Then, for the mobile app, you'd want to know how to build an API to link your device to your web back-end. I don't know how that works in PHP, though.
Just some thoughts - I hope they helped.
Steve.
