Web design vs web development?

Hi there,

I am new to this whole thing and am trying to decide which path to take. I am not sure what the difference is between web design and development. I plan on doing all of the courses offered here, but would still like to know what differences I can expect.

Well, you can only compare Webdesign with Front end development.

The biggest difference is, that webdesign focuses on graphic too. (you have photoshop, illustrator etc. lessons)

In Front end development don't learn anything about design, but you learn about programming in JavaScript and jQuerry.

Any way, if you're sure, that you don't want start with mobile app or PHP (Ruby) development, you don't need to worry about the course you take, because both of these have first three stages similar and you can swich track (same as I did) during this proccess.

Let me know if it helped
