Website Scrolling

How would I create a website that would have a scrolling feature? I want todo a "timeline" on my website.

Do you mean something like infinite scrolling? google 'infinite scroll' or 'endless page' where the page (or timeline) will scroll as longs as there are more records to fetch.

That is a good place to start.
