What am I doing wrong?

I'm getting TypeError: object of type 'function' has no len()

strlen.py 
def just_right(right):
    if len(just_right) < 5:
        print("Your string is too short")
    elif len(just_right) > 5:
        print("Your string is too long")
    else:
        True

You're asking for the length of a function, rather than the argument. Use "right" in the len function rather than your function's name :)

Couple of things:

  • You should check the length of the param (right) and not of the function itself.
  • If the string is too long or too short you should return the string, not print()
  • In your else statement you should return True
