You're quite close. You just need to read the requirements with a tiny bit more scrutiny. The key lies in this portion

Print each item on the same line unless the item is a double pipe (||). In that case, instead of printing the item, print a new line (\n).

Your code still prints the double-pipe as well as the default line-ending, but the requirement says to instead print a new line.
