what am i dong wrong?

it keeps telling me that: "Task 1 is not passing".

lists.py
messy_list = [5, 2, 1, 3, 4, 7, 8, 0, 9, -1]

# Your code goes below here
clean_list = messy_list[:]
clean_list.sort()
silly_list = [::-4]

Hi there,

You want to call the [::-3] (not -4) on messy_list and assign that to silly_list. Something like:

clean_list = messy_list[:]
clean_list.sort()
silly_list = messy_list[::-3]
