JavaScript JavaScript Basics (Retired) Creating Reusable Code with Functions Passing an Argument to a Function

What am I missing?

The challenge is telling me that I'm not storing the returned value in the echo variable. I've tried this in Workspaces and it appears to be working.

script.js
function returnValue(myName) {
  var echo = myName;
  return echo;
}
returnValue("Brandon");

<script src="script.js"></script>
</body>
</html>

Don't modify the function you made in task 1.

You should declare and assign "echo" after the function. But of course, you'll use the function to get the value to assign it with.

Thank you
