you were on the right track but the solution is actually simpler than what you've tried. You just have to use the val method on the input you selected and pass it the fullName variable as an argument like so:
//Show Prompt Window and store value
var fullName = prompt("What is your full name?");
//Select Input with the id of #fullName
//Insert value in to full name input
$("#fullName").val(fullName);
