What are benefits of using 'apnumber' ?

As per my understanding, 'apnumber' will display 1-9 with words instead of numbers. What are advantages of this format ? Is it help users in some ways ?

When to spell out numbers as text is a matter of style. From this post by Grammer Girl: "For general writing, most guides agree that you should use words for the numbers one through nine, but for larger numbers the rules vary wildly from style guide to style guide."
