What can I do as a front-end engineer?

I'm learning the basics so far. When asked what I want to work on, I have no idea. I've looked up types of job titles, software, career paths, but nothing really answers my question. As a front-end engineer, what CAN I work on. I know front-end deals with user interaction and there's product engineering, like working on IOS apps, and web development but what else is there?
