PHP

What do i study first? PHP or Wordpress?

Do i need to be confident with PHP before i move onto wordpress development?

While Wordpress has countless themes/plugins at your disposal, you are still at the mercy of the developer and more times than not find that theme/plugin has some sort of limitation toward your project goals. It's recommended to have a little PHP experience, just so you can grasp what the instructor is talking about when they do go deeper into Wordpress development and customizing theme templates/etc.

Hey Shaun,

When I did it, I did the PHP track first and then I went to the WordPress track. I think the WordPress track made more sense and was much easier to understand and complete because I had basic knowledge of PHP. You don't need to be a PHP master, but basic knowledge will be a great advantage.

:)

Wordpress is built on php, so i guess Php then Wordpress.
