what does it mean to create a rule on css for the class main-pg but not style instruction

Almost what you have done. Just a couple notes:

  1. don't forget the closing curly brace
  2. check how you target a class (you are now targeting a tagname)

.main-pg { color: red; }

as an example would change p to red

remember the . is the target for a class and as above always close with a }

the HTML is spot on, its just the css the needs more work
