what does != mean in swift?

please help.

divisible.swift
func isDivisible(#dividend: Int, #divisor: Int) -> Bool {
    if dividend % divisor == 0 {
        return true
    } else {
        return false
    }

If I remember correctly, it means Not Equal To. But I may be confusing it with JavaScript...

ThatΒ΄s exactly what it means :) Any value of x != (is not equal) to a value of y with the same data type.

Glad I could help! It's been a while since I worked in Swift before switching tracks, so I hope I didn't confuse the two languages!

I confirm that != is a not equal operator , for e.g: 1 != 2 which really means 1 doesn't equal 2. Hope this helps : )
