I don't understand the purpose of template the sketch layer? what does template do or useful for?!

72 PointsDo you mean that it just making the sketch locked and more clear so i can draw over another layer, like if i'm trying to draw a picture using transparent paper over it (copy and paste drawing)?

I'm assuming you're referring to making an image into a template layer in illustrator. If so, the purpose is to lock your image down into position for tracing out a graphic shape on another layer. Really useful for turning physical, scanned sketches into graphics!
