What does this instruction want me to do?

this is the result after I check my work:

Bummer! Don't set the age variable, I'll do that for you.

I can't just delete the if statement?!

Hi Russell,

the error tells you exactly what is wrong: the if/else statement is correct as it is right now, but you don't need to set an age yourself, so remove the "age = 24" line. The code is valid for all numbers for age.

Reread the question, he is creating the age variable. Remove the age variable and your code should work, I hope this helps!
