What exactly is an integer? an example would be much appreciated!

11,459 PointsAn integer is a positive whole number, a negative whole number, or 0. This means a number that does not have any fractional or decimal parts. For example both 1 and -2 are integers.
On the other hand 1.5 is not an integer because it is a fraction.
