Android Build an Interactive Story App (Retired) Intents and Multiple Activities Getting Data from an Intent

What is incorrect in following my code. Intent intent = getIntent(); String fl= intent.getStringExtra("FUEL_LEVEL");

Im click Check Work then get notification: There is ... syntax error at before getStringExtra

FlightActivity.java
import android.os.Bundle;

public class FlightActivity extends Activity {

  public int mFuelLevel = 0;

  @Override
  protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
    super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
    setContentView(R.layout.activity_flight);

    // Add your code below!
   Intent intent = getIntent();
   String fl= intent.getStringExtra("FUEL_LEVEL");
  }

Have a look for getIntExtra here http://developer.android.com/reference/android/content/Intent.html I think it might be what you need.

I think that the value you're trying to pull from the intent is an int not a String. The correct method to use is in the linked documentation where you'll see how to add default values too!

Thanks mrben! I tried to convert string from getStringExtra() to int, but still has error. Error i got from Challenger of module, not in may code.
