iOS Swift Functions and Optionals Functions Syntax and Parameters

what is string interpolation and what does it look like?

This is the question where you have to make the function so overtime you pass a person named tom, it says "Hello Tom".

String interpolation is how you can display the value of a variable within a string.

So in your example you want to be able to display the variable person within a string.

println("Hello \(person)")

As you can see you have to use a backslash (this escapes it) and then wrap your variable name in parentheses in order to get it to display its value within the string.
