What is the best technology track to focus as an Internet of Things focused developer?

I am seeing a lot of articles on Home Automation/ Internet of Things development. Sites like SmartHome.com sells a lot of devices that cover many facets of home automation.

What are the best tracks to complete to develop for devices like that? I'm thinking to start with Android, finish the Java sessions, move on to C#, and then to Python. Am I I in the right ballbark for this field?

Hey Matt!

Really cool that you're looking to get into IoT! That said, there's not much of a consensus around language yet, and ultimately it depends on what you plan to do and what languages that requires. You might need to learn C, but more likely you'll be looking at Javascript or Python.

Hope that helps!
