what is the command to get out of irb and back to the treehouse:~/workspace$ ?

You can either type exit and hit Enter or use the Ctrl+D combination (it also works in normal Mac/Linux console), which is preferable, since it's faster.

Have you tried rebooting the computer? (JUST KIDDING!)

Also in irb you can type quit
