Hi!

The course that you are looking at currently is for Swift 2 and iOS9 which is the latest version of Apple's iOS. The other course from 2014 was tailored specifically for Swift 1.

You can still follow along with the older course but because things changed between the versions of Swift you would have to do some Googling.

The difference between the courses is the older version uses Swift 1 while the newer course uses Swift 2. Luke hit the nail on the head in that you may need to do some googling if you want to follow along with the older Swift course.
