What is the difference between just typing "namespace TreehouseDefense" vs using the "Using" directive

Example:

namespace TreehouseDefense { class Class1 { some code } }

using System using TreehouseDefense { class Someclass { some code { public void Main()

        }  
    }

}

The 'Namespace TreehouseDefense' declares a namespace of your own, so you can later reference classes and other aspects of your code. This is done with the 'using'.

So effectively one is declaring, one is accessing.
