What is the difference between logo and brand?

Can i know the difference between a logo and brand? what i understand a brand is something that round up the feel, visual, style, and something like this http://logopond.com/logos/31153e95f1860fd3799ee2afe029999e.png is a brand i dont think it's a logo because it's not simple, not scallable, and not timeless. if i'm wrong please correct me. i'm new in logo design.

A brand is a reflection of a company,it reflects the experience a customer has with an organisation, it's product or services and it is a promise of delivering something to the consumer. Anything can be branded: things, places, people, ideas, anything! Brands can also evoke feelings of belonging and affection....like Treehouse :D

A logo is part of the Brand Image (visual/verbal expressions of the brand that make a connection with consumers), that image is a logo :)

so the logo must be kept simple and connected to the brand image. and brand it self is like treehouse that have a little playful feel, and cartoon-ish type of illustration in it, right?

yes the logo should reflect the brand's personality, i think treehouse do a good job doing that with theirs whilst -like you said- keeping it simple!! Because at their core, the logo helps consumers identify and remember you whilst differentiating you from competitors :)

Grace is totally correct, take a look at some business websites, their logo should reflect the feel the brand gives you. A great example would be t-mobile, what feel do the colors give you? A brand is just what the buyers make it. Is it cool like Jordan shoes or playful like treehouse.

Happy Coding, Devin.
