What is the difference between <section></section> and <hgroup></hgroup>

So I understand that <section></section> is related to grouping context together. But what I don't seem to understand is the formatting of <hgroup></hgroup>.

<hgroup> is specific to using headings. https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/hgroup

<hgroup>
  <h1>This is a level 1 heading</h1>
  <h2>This is a level 2 heading</h2>
</hgroup>

The <section> tag can be used anywhere. https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/section
