If we can delay jQuery/JavaScript code execution simply by placing the script tags at the bottom of the markup, why would you ever need to use $ready?

66,191 PointsWhat if you wanted some of the script to load instantly while some doesn't? Plus using a separate sheet for code is more tidy and it is very tedious messing with putting script tags in the header and footer. This applies a great deal on big websites.
