print_r() displays information about a variable. For example, list of items inside an array. Language construct echo displays actual variable value. Also, you can use print instead of echo. That's same thing.

what is the purpose of using '' print_r'' and "echo"? is there any difference?

<b>print_r()</b> displays information about a variable. For example, list of items inside an array. Language construct <b>echo</b> displays actual variable value. Also, you can use print instead of echo. That's same thing.
