What is the <thead> syntax, I've heard about it but i don't know it's purpose

Can anyone helps me the purpose of this syntax?

Hiya John! The <thead> tag is used to group header content in an HTML table. you can remember it as "Table Head". Kinda like a header for a columns in a table , right? Likewise There are <tbody> and <tfoot> tags. And They defines body and footer of the table respectively. (:
