What is wrong with my code?

Here's my code :

from flask import Flask from flask import request

app = Flask(name)

@app.route('/') def index(name="Treehouse"): name = request.args.get('name', name) return 'Hello {name}'.format(name)

IN YOUR CODE :

app = Flask(name)

its (dunder name) i.e double_underscores name double_underscores. It should be 

app = Flask(__name__)

NEXT, when you are doing format on your string, the placeholder need not have the variable name, which means it should be {} rather than {name}, as you are already passing it in .format(name).

{} is just a placeholder to tell where the string should be placed.

 return 'Hello {name}'.format(name)#IS WRONG

 return 'Hello {}'.format(name)# IS RIGHT

Your code should look something like this:

from flask import Flask
from flask import request

app = Flask(__name__)

@app.route('/')
def index(name="Treehouse"):
  name = request.args.get('name', name)
  return 'Hello {}'.format(name)
