Python Build a Social Network with Flask Making Strong Users Bcryptkeeper

What is wrong with my code for checking the user's password?

utils.py
from flask.ext.bcrypt import generate_password_hash, check_password_hash

def set_password(User, string1):
    User.password = generate_password_hash('string1')
    return User

def validate_password(User, string1):
    if check_password_hash(User.password, string1):
        return True;
    else:
        return False

string1 shouldn't be enclosed in quotes here

User.password = generate_password_hash('string1')

Thank you. That worked.

That code pass the 2 of 3 question but wouldn't on the 3 of 3, even when I took the quotes off. I restarted it from the beginning and that seemed to do the trick. :)
