What is wrong with this?

lists.py 
messy = [5, 2, 8, 1, 3]

del messy [8]

You need to supply the index that you wish to delete in between the square brackets not the actual number you are trying to delte.

In this example, the number 8 in at the index of 2 in the list. Therefore, you would need to enter del messy[2] to get the desired result of deleting the number 8 from the list.
