what is wrong with this?

I don't understand why it's saying this. Someone please help!!

it keeps saying make sure to add color to your background of gallery list items

Hi Jen,

The code you have is fine. But the task also asks you to change the colour of the text (to any colour you like, like the background colour).

Also I have noticed that on some of the challenges it doesn't always recognize short hand. There was one that I had to specify 

#myID {
background-color: #fff  
}

It would not accept for some reason

#myID {
background: #fff
}

Just a thought.

That's true, sometimes there are cases like that.

Shouldn't be an issue here, though. I tried this task before and it passed with the shorthand:

background: #fff;
